Alan Olejniczak is a San Francisco playwright and opera librettist. Alan is on the board of Theatre Bay Area Board, Chair of the Individual Service Committee,  and a member of the Dramatist Guild. Last April, At Last Theatre produced Dominion at Fort Mason Center, Five Honorable Mention Plays in 2016 and Present Tense at The A.C.T. Costume Shop in 2015 Last year, Alan participated in The San Francisco Olympians Festival VI with Lethe, which was later re-worked for a March salon by The Artists at Albatross Reach in The Sea Ranch, California. His one-act play Transgress was presented in April at the 36th Annual William Inge Festival in Independence, Kansas and The Bechdel Group in New York City this September. Alan is currently working with composer, Daniel Brown on their opera on the life of the French mathematician, Évariste Galois. 
Alan has written for Portico Studios in San Rafael, a next level interactive storytelling experiences in virtual reality. He is also collaborating with Christopher Turner on PROGRESS blending fine art narrative photography with social and environmental activism.  Alan also helps raise money for Theatre Bay Area's Mary Mason Lemonade Fund: A confidential fund for theatre artists with terminal or life-threatening illnesses who are in need of supplemental financial assistance. He also volunteers his time at SF-Marin Food Bank and Jewish Family & Community Services in the East Bay where he works with LGTB refugees. Alan and his husband, David divide their time between San Francisco and The Sea Ranch.
